The Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST) participated in the third-quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) today, September 10, 2026.
Organized by the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) under the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), the drill aims to strengthen earthquake preparedness and awareness across the country.
During the exercise, members of the NEUST community observed established safety protocols, including performing the βduck, cover, and holdβ procedure and evacuating to designated safe areas away from buildings and other potential hazards.
NEUSTβs participation reinforces the importance of preparedness and coordinated response in ensuring the safety of the university community during emergencies.
