One of the projects of the Department of Trade and Industry is to establish “Shared Service Facilities” (SSF) project nationwide to help the MSMEs to solve their problems. The NEUST is one of the Universities that works together with DTI in terms of planning and implementing different SSF projects like the “Product Labelling and Packaging Facility Project”.
Last February 28, 2019, the MOA Signing and Project Launching on “Shared Service Facility” between NEUST and DTI were all through. The University President, Dr. Feliciana P. Jacoba to represent NEUST, together with Dir. Judith P. Angeles (DTI III Regional Director) and Dir. Brigida T. Pili (DTI Provincial Director) to represent DTI spearheaded the MOA signing. This was held at Nieto Hall, Sumacab Campus, Cabanatuan City.
This undertaking aims to assist MSMEs in their labelling and packaging needs, to establish sustainable Shared Service Facility (SSF) that will help the MSMEs in promoting their products, to improve the marketability of the products assisted by the NEUST as part of its production mandate, and to provide product labelling and packaging services that are accessible and that will cater the needs of the MSMEs in the province and nearby provinces for a low-cost.
