Uplifting Professional Integrity in Academic Writing

            On July 13, 2020, a very significant and timely online training was conducted. This webinar was entitled “Uplifting Professional Integrity in Academic Writing”. This one-day online activity was organized in collaboration with the three NEUST departments: University Training Department with Dr. Jo Neil Peria as the Director, University Library headed by Dr. Consuelo Estigoy, and the Learning and Development Unit spearheaded by Dr. Lorinda Pascual.

            In particular, the webinar aimed at equipping the participants with knowledge on to how to use Plagscan in detecting plagiarism; providing the participants with knowledge on to how to use the Grammar Checker or Grammarly in eliminating the grammar errors of an academic paper; and equipping the participants with knowledge on how to use Gale Academic Onefile in finding accurate information and articles with ease when writing academic papers. The invited speakers were Mr. Joseph Valdez and Mr. Jeffrey Merana.
