Webinar on Sexual Harassment in the Workplace

In accordance with the 18-day Campaign to stop Violence against Women (VAW), the NEUST Gender and Development (GAD) conducted a webinar entitled “Webinar on Sexual Harassment in the Workplace” which was held on December 10, 2020, 9:00am. It was organized by the NEUST Gender and Development Office headed by Dr. Alma Galang.

The activity aimed at increasing the level of awareness and understanding of the NEUST employees on the concepts and laws as regards sexual harassment- an unwelcome sexual behaviour considered offensive, humiliating, or intimidating which can be written, verbal, or physical that may happen at work or in the school.

To begin the webinar, Dr. Arneil Gabriel gave his opening remarks, followed by the enthusing messages from Dr. Rhodora R. Jugo (VPAA), Dr. Honorato P. Panahon (Executive Vice President), and the University President, Dr. Feliciana P. Jacoba.

The activity was concluded by the OIC GAD, Dr. Alma G. Galang. The people who assisted in the webinar were Dr. Flordeliza D. Angeles (moderator) and Mr. Gregorio Villaviza (emcee). The invited resource speaker was the former NEUST President, Atty. Hilario C. Ortiz who imparted a vast knowledge on sexual harassment issues.
