14th Capping, Pinning, and Candle Lighting Ceremony of the NEUST College of Nursing
To show the successful completion of the 3rd Year Nursing students on the basic requirements of their chosen field, the Capping, Pinning, and Candle Lighting Ceremony is yearly conducted. This signals the start of their service and commitment as future nurses. On March 26, 2021, the NEUST College of Nursing held its 14th Capping, Pinning, and Candle Lighting Ceremony with its theme: “Young Healthcare Warriors of Today, Front Liners of Tomorrow: Facing the Challenges in the Time of Pandemic.” There were 104 Level 3 Nursing Students who attended the said online activity with their teachers and the Dean of the College of Nursing, Dr. Jean Guillasper.The University President, Dr. Feliciana P. Jacoba, served as the guest of honor and speaker. She emphasized in her speech the important role of nurses, especially in this time of pandemic; that nurses are the heroes of the covid-19 because of their constant health care services. Before she ended her message, she gratefully congratulated all the nursing students, especially their parents who have been sacrificing for their children in order to finish their schooling.For our future nurses, congratulations and may you continue your journey until you become full-fledged nurses with commitment and determination to provide health services.
