Transparency is one of the core values of the Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology. This is also one of the top priority goals of the administration of the University President, Dr. Feliciana P. Jacoba. Part of the realization of this value is to conduct a yearly semi-annual performance assessment.
This year, a virtual training on performance assessment and midyear planning was set up on July 26, 2021 by the Planning and Development Office headed by its director, Dr. Sarah C. Alvarez. This training cum planning workshop was designed to assess or to review the University’s performance for the last 6 months, then do necessary catch-up plans for the unachieved targets or objectives for 2021.
The attendees on the said online activity were the members of the NEUST Administrative Council and different Unit Heads. The invited guest speaker has been considered as one of the country’s most eminent personalities who handled high up positions in the government. He is Dr. Federico M. Macaranas (Adjunct Faculty, Asian Institute of Management and Program Director of AIM CHED GALP 2021).
The morning session centered on the lecture/discussion of Dr. Macaranas on Performance Assessment and Tactical Plan Preparation for the workshop, and in the afternoon session, the midyear reports were done by Dr. Sarah C. Alvarez for the physical accomplishments of the University while Ms. Lorna N. Ejar, the University Budget Officer, was assigned on the financial matters. As an output, the participants were expected to craft their catch-up plans for the unachieved targets or objectives.
