Series of Webinars conducted by the NEUST National Service Training Program (NSTP)

The National Service Training Program (NSTP) is the program of the University that takes aim to develop the skills of the students in terms of serving the community. It also aims to develop the students’ physical, mental, spiritual, and social well-being. To do this, some trainings and webinars have been conducted despite the threat of the covid-19 pandemic. The National Service Training Program of the University is supervised by its Director, Prof. Randy M. Bañez, assisted by Dr. Manuel Manuel, the Area Chair of the NSTP-CWTS.

On October 02, 2021, the NEUST NSTP organized a webinar on “KABATAAN SA HALALAN” in collaboration with the Pinas Forward PH, a social movement engaged in empowering various communities, especially the young generation towards positive social change. This webinar consisted of three topics, as follows:

This webinar aimed at reinforcing the values of the students as voters in the 2022 National and Local Elections. In addition, the virtual activity inculcated to the students the value and sanctity of the right to vote in the forthcoming political elections.
There were other webinars conducted and organized by the NEUST National Service Training Program (NSTP) in the previous months, as follows:

 REGIONAL WEBINAR ON PEACE EDUCATION
This was a regional webinar held last July 31, 2021 entitled, “A Novel Path: Embedding Peace Education in NSTP/ Secondary Instruction”. As a firm advocate of Peace Education, Commissioner Ronald L. Adamat delivered an inspirational message and shared some shining thoughts on Peace Education. The invited speaker of this webinar was DR. LORETA NAVARRO-CASTRO (former President of Miriam College, Quezon City and the incumbent Director of the Center for Peace Education).

 RETOOLING AND CAPACITY BUILDING OF NATIONAL SERVICE TRAINING PROGRAM IMPLEMENTER”
This webinar was conducted on July 9 2021. The objective of the webinar was to further equip and update the faculty and students with knowledge necessary in the NSTP instruction.

All these activities were smoothly accomplished thru the initiative of Prof. Bañez with the support of the University President, Dr. Feliciana P. Jacoba.
