CHED cites NEUST in Duterte Legacy report
The Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST) was mentioned during the report of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) for being one of the best universities in the world offering quality education.
In the report during the Duterte Legacy Summit, CHED Chair Prospero De Vera III said that there are now 15 Philippine universities in the 2022 Times Higher Education (THE) World Impact Rankings.
“Our universities all over the country are now ranked among the best in the world,” the CHED Chair said, “mula lima, 15 pamantasan ngayon, a 300% increase in the number of Philippine universities internationally ranked.”
“[They include] universities that may be some of you do not know where they are located, for example, sino ang may alam dito ng Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology? Alam niyo ba kung saan ang campus na ‘yan?” he asked.
“Very few have heard of them. NEUST is in Cabanatuan, having the most number of students in the province of Nueva Ecija,” said De Vera.
Based on THE, NEUST received a global ranking of 801-1000 out of over 1,500 institutions.
“Hindi na kailangang magpunta sa Maynila para makakuha ng de kalidad na edukasyon,” Chair De Vera said.
