The Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology is now undergoing an Institutional Accreditation (IA). It started on September 19, 2022 and will end on September 23, 2022.
What is the importance of Institutional Accreditation (IA)? It aims to know the status granted to an institution that has been found to meet or exceed established standards for educational quality and excellence. It is a comprehensive assessment of the university’s academic and administrative effectiveness and efficiency in terms of its policies and practices.
The NEUST IA’s opening program was made via zoom which was participated in by the visiting accreditation team and the deans and directors of the different colleges and campuses led by its humble and innovative leader, Dr. Feliciana P. Jacoba. The program started with a prayer, followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem which was led by the NEUST chorale. As Pres. Jacoba welcomed the visiting accreditation team, she also cited the awards and recognition received by the university, funded institutional and international research, international partnerships, CHED funded projects, students and faculty scholarships, list of topnotchers from all board licensure examinations, and other noteworthy accomplishments of the University.
After the message given by Pres. Jacoba, Dr. Honorato P. Panahon, the Executive Vice President and the Vice President for Administration, Business, and Finance introduced the University officials. Then, Dr. Raul F. Muyong, the President of Iloilo Science and Technology University and Lead Accreditor and Team Leader of Area I, introduced his co- accreditors, as follows:

Further, Dr. Rhodora R. Jugo, the Vice President for Academic Affairs presented the institutional accreditation task force, the individuals behind the systematic preparation of IA. The afternoon session was held at the Nieto Hall, Sumacab Campus where all the documents and exhibits have been kept for the accreditors to examine and scrutinize. At exactly, 5:25pm, the accreditors arrived at the Nieto Hall. They were well accommodated and entertained by the University President, Dr. Feliciana P. Jacoba, Dr. Rhodora R. Jugo (VPAA), Dr. Rachael R. Moralde (VPRET), and Dr. Analyn M. Gamit (Quality Assurance Director).
