September 23, 2022 was the date that signaled the last day of the Institutional Accreditation in which the closing program served as the highlight of the activity.
The closing program started with an opening prayer led by the Moral Recovery and Spiritual Upliftment Program (MRSUP) Director, Dr. Elenita Paet, followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem sung by the NEUST chorale. Dr. Raul F. Muyong, the Team Leader of Area I, was called by the emcee, Dr. Ronaldo F. Pascual, to come up the stage for the overall impression of the accreditors with regard to the NEUST Institutional Accreditation. Dr. Muyong jauntily avowed that the Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology is so blessed for having Dr. Feliciana P. Jacoba as the University President, who is an innovator, a mentor, and a visionary. Furthermore, Dr. Muyong commended the dedication and commitment of the NEUST academic community, especially the Institutional Accreditation Task Force members for their unrelenting support and services for the success of the IA.
After giving the accreditors’ impression, Pres. Jacoba expressed her speech of gratitude to the accreditors led by the President of AACCUP, Dr. Edgardo E. Tulin, the AACCUP Executive Director, Dr. Milabel E. Ho, and other Lead Accreditors of the different areas, Dr. Dr. Raul F. Muyong (for Area 1); Dr. Maria Glenda O. Dela (Areas II, III, and VI); Dr. Cecilio L. Manarpaac (Areas IV and V); and Dr. Anita C. Sornito (Area VII). She also pointed out that the entire NEUST community is very optimistic regarding the results of the Institutional Accreditation based on the words uttered by Dr. Ho and Dr. Tulin, rhymed with HOPE and APPRECIATION.
In Dr. Jacoba’s speech, she disclosed that her source of courage in facing the different accreditations’ challenges were the men and women of the University who have always been extending their tireless help and support for the welfare of the institution. She did accentuate that without her NEUST family, she could not achieve the recognition and successful accomplishments of the University. She added that in the most challenging and difficult times, those men and women are ready to take necessary actions for the University’s improvement and development to sustain its name as a University of Science and Technology and as SMART one. Filled with gratefulness and exuberance, she articulated:
“If there is one thing that the NEUST has already achieved at this very moment, it is bringing the NEUST family CLOSER and STRONGER”.
As the last part of the program, a plaque of recognition was awarded to the IA accreditors by Pres. Jacoba with the three VP’s, Dr. Panahon, Dr. Jugo, and Dr. Moralde. After the awarding, the Administrative Council members along with the NEUST Task Force members prepared themselves for picture taking.
