The graduating students of the Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology attended a two-day Ecumenical Spiritual Recollection held at NEUST Sumacab Campus on January 24-25, 2025 to prepare them for future challenges through moral recovery and spiritual upliftment.
With the theme “NEUST: Expanding Horizons towards Global Excellence in Higher Education – A Journey of Reflection and Aspiration,” the recollection provided students the chance to reflect on their academic journeys and encouraged them to connect with their values and beliefs for personal and spiritual growth.
The two-day event, organized by Dr. Elenita Paet, Moral Recovery and Spiritual Uplift Program (MRSUP) Director, featured motivational talks and reflective activities to help students gain confidence as they transition from university life to their future careers.
Atty. Bembol Castillo, Vice President for Administration, Business, and Finance (VPABF), and University Legal Officer, urged students to realize that their journey extends beyond graduation.
“The lessons learned at NEUST provide the foundation for future success,” said the VPABF. “You should remain focused on your goals and embrace future challenges with purpose.”
Meanwhile, Dr. Ma. Lourdes Quijano, Dean, Office of Student Affairs and Services, emphasized the significance of reflection and growth in this phase of the students’ journey and encouraged them to recognize their achievements and learn from past challenges.
Rev. Fr. William S. Villaviza, Director of Office for Liturgical Music and Priest Residence Mother of Perpetual Help Parish, and Ptr. Paulito P. Paño, Pearl of the Orient Covenant Reformed Church member, led the ecumenical recollection and shared guidance on aspiration and perseverance as students face the next chapter of their lives.
