President Dr. Rhodora R. Jugo reaffirmed NEUST’s commitment to advancing education and research as she joined fellow presidents of State Universities and Colleges (SUC) in the 17th Regional Development Council III (RDC III) Sectoral Committee on Social Development (SCSD) Budget Dialogue at the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) Regional Office III on February 24, 2025.
During the dialogue, President Jugo presented NEUST’s Fiscal Year 2026 budget proposal, outlining key projects focused on enhancing academic programs, upgrading facilities, and expanding research initiatives to support regional development.
The President also emphasized the need for SUCs to produce highly skilled graduates and innovative research outputs aligned with national and regional goals.
The Regional Development Council (RDC) III also established the Social Development Committee to enhance public welfare by reviewing and endorsing programs that require national funding, as outlined in the RDC III Handbook 2021 Edition.
Meanwhile, Ms. Lorna N. Ejar, University Budget Officer IV; Dr. Kenneth L. Armas, Planning and Development Office Director; and Engr. Allan DM. Abenoja, Jr., Infrastructure Development Office Director, were also present in the budget dialogue.
