NEWS | NEUST earns nat’l award for ‘highest number’ of Level IV accredited programs
Reaffirming the University’s commitment to quality education, the Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST) secured the second-highest number of Level IV accredited programs among all state universities and colleges (SUCs) nationwide, as conferred by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines, Inc. (AACCUP, Inc.) during its 38th Annual National Conference, on March 5-7, 2025, at Marikina Polytechnic College, Marikina City.
The eleven (11) academic programs of NEUST with Level IV Accredited Status are Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management, Bachelor of Elementary Education, Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Master of Business Administration, Master of Public Administration, Master of Arts in Teaching, Master of Educational Management, Master of Engineering Management, and Doctor of Philosophy in Engineering Management.
According to Dr. Analyn Gamit, Director of the Quality Assurance Office, this recognition is a testament to NEUST’s commitment to providing world-class programs.
“Ang Level IV, bilang highest accreditation level na kayang iachieve ng isang program, ay nagpapatunay na mataas ang qualification ng mga faculty natin, mataas ang performance ng mga estudyante natin, at maganda ang placement ng ating mga alumni. Ibig sabihin, ang programs ng NEUST ay world-class,” said Dr. Gamit.
Meanwhile, the deans of the academic programs expressed their pride in the institution’s dedication to excellence, creativity, and community service — values that have led to this recognition.
“As we celebrate this milestone, let us remain determined in our pursuit of knowledge in our respective fields. I encourage [our] students, faculty, and researchers to actively engage in scholarly activities, transformative research, and community-driven initiatives that further elevate our institution’s reputation. Together, we will continue to set the benchmark for academic excellence and contribute meaningfully to national and global development… let us keep striving for even greater heights,” said Dr. Jocelyn Cruz, Dean of Graduate School.
“With the efficient and effective workforce that I have at CICT combined with the strong support from the NEUST administration, I did not doubt that we pass the Level 4 Accreditation”, Dr. Arnold Dela Cruz, Dean of the College of Information and Communications Technology.
“The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program, a distinguished member of this group, signifies its adherence to the highest standards of academic excellence and has reached the highest level of accreditation,” said Dr. Zuzette Catabona, Dean of the College of Nursing.
On behalf of NEUST President Dr. Rhodora R. Jugo, the Plaque of Recognition was received by Dr. Gamit, together with Dr. Angelo Santos, Dr. Kim Edward Santos, Dr. Jennifer Fronda, Dr. Joy Savellano, and Dr. Edison Mina.
With the theme “Elevate, Empower, and Expand QA in Higher Education,” the annual conference gathered quality assurance experts, university leaders, and accreditors from various State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) nationwide to discuss advancements in quality assurance and institutional accreditation.
