The DOST-NEUST Technology and Business Incubator (TBI) and Innovation Management Office (IMO) conducted an Innovation and Entrepreneurship Seminar Bootcamp with the theme โ€œFrom Idea to Prototypeโ€ from March 12 to 14, 2025, at Nieto Hall, Sumacab Campus.

The event gathered students from the College of Management and Business Technology, College of Industrial Technology, College of Engineering, College of Information and Communications Technology, and the San Isidro Campus.

In her opening remarks, Dr. Jean N. Guillasper, Vice President for Research, Extension, and Training (VPRET), encouraged the participants to foster creativity and innovation in their academic pursuits.

“A simple idea can lead to a great invention, so let’s create and innovate together,” she said.

The resource speakers, Engr. Angelica F. Anabeza, Engr. Dominador M. Dela Cruz Jr. from Wadhwani Foundation Ph, and Engr. Emmanuel F. Borre, the project manager of DOST-NEUST TBI, shared lectures on innovation and invention and they encouraged students to join more bootcamps and grant proposal contests in the future.

The third day showcased a pitching session where students presented their prototypesโ€”which were evaluated by Engr. Mackenly A. Pernia, Engr. Jericho R. Corpuz, Engr. Darren Mallari, Engr. Frenie Ann Belarmino, and Engr. Dominador M. Dela Cruz.
