NEUST guides MVGFCI in global rankings preparation

In a bid to enhance its institutional development, Manuel V. Gallego Foundation Colleges, Inc. (MVGFCI) visited the Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST) for a benchmarking activity held at Rico Fajardo Hall, NEUST Sumacab Campus, on April 11, 2025.

The event aimed to guide MVGFCI, a private higher education institution based in Cabanatuan City, in navigating the World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI), including submission processes, documentation, and best practices in quality assurance and internationalization.

In her message, NEUST President Dr. Rhodora Jugo emphasized the importance of collaboration among academic institutions, stating, “In all aspects of the university’s endeavors, our primary goal is to give our best. We remain committed to supporting and assisting fellow academic institutions in their pursuit of excellence.”

The benchmarking was facilitated by NEUST officials, including Dr. Analyn Gamit, Director of the Quality Assurance Office, who shared systematic approaches to monitoring and maintaining quality standards; Dr. Angelo Santos, Head of Local and International Accreditation, who discussed strategic planning and systematic preparation for WURI participation; and Dr. Edgelly Vitug, WURI Focal Person, who presented NEUST’s standing in global rankings and outlined the step-by-step process for joining WURI.

The MVGFCI delegation, led by Prof. Rene Boy Abiva, Director of the MVGFCI Extension Office, along with Dr. Rosebell Vendivil-Tungol, Dr. Ruth Alfonso, and Prof. Zeshalyn San Andres, engaged in discussions to adopt best practices for their institution’s advancement.

Through initiatives like this benchmarking activity, NEUST reaffirms its commitment to quality education, innovation, and service by fostering partnerships and sharing expertise in global rankings, accreditation, and quality assurance, strengthening its role as a catalyst for educational development and equipping institutions with the tools to elevate standards and contribute meaningfully to society.
