“I urge each one of you to uphold the highest standards of public service.”
This was the message of University President Dr. Rhodora R. Jugo to the teaching and non-teaching personnel of Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST) who attended the first nationwide observance of Ease of Doing Business (EODB) Month this May 2025 as mandated by the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA).
“Our daily actions, whether in processing permits, providing services, or attending to inquiries, reflect the values and effectiveness of our institutions. When we remain steadfast in these practices, we are also cultivating a culture of integrity, responsiveness, and excellence in everything we do,” said President Jugo.
“It is therefore important to deepen our understanding of the law, especially RA 11032, and align our practices with its objectives,” the President added.
With the theme “From Red Tape to Red Carpet: Better Business Movement in a Bagong Pilipinas (#R2C: BBMBP),” the NEUST conducted the Ease of Doing Business (EODB) seminar to strengthen the commitment of NEUST employees to transparent, efficient, and citizen-friendly government service delivery.
Meanwhile, Engr. Christopher Ladignon, Head of the Regulatory and Performance Compliance Unit, CART member, and ARTA focal person, stressed the importance of providing the best service within NEUST.
“From red tape to red carpet. Magandang pakinggan, so red carpet po dapat ang experience ng ating mga kliyente. NEUST expresses its active participation in promoting this crucial advocacy within our agency,” Ladignon stated.
In October 2024, NEUST received the Gold Award by ARTA, with a rating of 97.90 percent, earning the highest score among 116 state universities and colleges in the country.
