NEUST hosts benchmarking activity with DMMMSU Open University Non-Teaching Officials

Sumacab Campus – The Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST) welcomed officials from the Non-Teaching Association (NTA) of Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University (DMMMSU) Open University System in La Union on April 30, 2025, for a benchmarking activity aimed at sharing best practices in university administration, finance, and student services.

The visiting delegation explored NEUST’s processes in administrative operations, student support, records management, and digital transformation initiatives to enhance their own institutional strategies.

Atty. Bembol Castillo, NEUST Vice President for Administration, Business, and Finance, underscored the university’s commitment to its non-teaching personnel: “In our university, there are no second-class citizens,” he stated, highlighting opportunities for promotions, capacity development, and international engagements.

“We welcome this partnership and opportunity to collaborate. We can establish a memorandum of agreement not only for non-teaching personnel concerns but also for the entire university,” Atty. Castillo added.

Following the discussions, the DMMMSU delegation, led by NTA President Cecilia Villanueva, toured the Sumacab Campus to observe facilities and operational processes.

The event was organized by the NEUST Non-Teaching Personnel Association, Inc. (NTPAI), headed by Jomarie Manalus, with participation from heads and representatives of NEUST’s administrative and finance offices, as well as key units such as the Office of Admission and Registration, the University Library, the Management Information System Office, and the Office of Student Affairs and Services.
