The NEUST ROTC Unit garnered 95.04 overall points in the Regional Annual Administrative and Tactical Inspection (RAATI) held on April 23, 2025, at NEUST Sumacab Campus.

The RAATI began with a briefing led by Col. Isauro Palmaria PA (RES), together with Dr. Arjay Ortiz, Director of the National Service Training Program, and University President Dr. Rhodora Jugo at the Office of the University President.

Col. Palmaria discussed R.A. 7077 (Citizen Armed Force of Armed Forces of the Philippines Act) and Republic Act No. 9163 (National Service Training Program Act of 2001), emphasizing the importance of volunteerism and patriotism.

“ROTC training ay importante, dito mas mahahasa ang mga studyante natin to further grow the spirit of volunteerism and patriotism,” Col. Palmaria said.

The program proper began with an invocation led by C/CPT Jennideth Encarnation, followed by opening remarks from Dr. Arjay Ortiz, Director of the National Service Training Program.

He welcomed and thanked the cadets of the NEUST ROTC Unit for their hard work and dedication, emphasizing that despite the scorching heat, the show must go on.

“Maganda at mainit na tanghali po sa ating lahat. Isang pagsaludo sa ating RAATI team, walang init-init sa kanila, ganyan sila kaseryoso sa ginagawa nila. I just want to thank our RAATI team for their hard work at syempre good luck!” Dr. Ortiz said.

This was followed by the turnover of the ROTC Corps of Cadets by Col. Palmaria to the Chairman of the Inspection Team, Col. Eugene Garce INF (GSC) PA.
