βAs public servants, it is our duty to continuously enhance the quality, efficiency, and transparency of our work. May this orientation help strengthen our commitment to good governance and the core values of integrity and accountability,β said NEUST President Dr. Rhodora Jugo as she addressed employees during the general orientation on the Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act of 2018 (RA 11032).
Held at the NEUST Mini Convention Hall, the orientation aimed to strengthen Anti-Red Tape Act (ARTA) compliance and promote best practices through discussions led by ARTA Central Luzon RFO speakers Mary Grace B. Manabat, Jonina Madrid, and Jaena Marie Bansil.
In his welcome remarks, Atty. Bembol Castillo, NEUST Vice President for Administration, Business, and Finance, and Chairperson of the NEUST Committee on Anti-Red Tape, stressed the importance of upholding efficiency, transparency, and accountability in public service.
βAs government employees, knowledge about RA 11032 is essential. Kailangan po, kahit basic knowledge, ay may alam tayo. Makakatulong po ito sa atin to provide more efficient service to the public and improve ourselves as government employees. I hope this event serves as a meaningful learning opportunity for all of us to reflect on and improve the way we deliver public service,β said Atty. Castillo.
The event concluded with a Citizens’ Charter workshop, where participants were grouped to create their own Charters, which were then presented and critiqued for improvement.
This orientation was organized by the NEUST Committee on Anti-Red Tape as part of the universityβs participation in the national celebration of Ease of Doing Business (EODB) Month.
