NEUST maintains spot in THE Impact Rankings for fourth consecutive year

The Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST) has secured its position in the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 2025, placing in the 1501+ bracket for the fourth consecutive year.

NEUST is among the 113 Philippine higher education institutions recognized for their contributions to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The THE Impact Rankings assess universities worldwide based on their alignment with the 17 SDGs. NEUST achieved notable placements in the following categories:

  • 401–600th in SDG 1 (No Poverty) – reflecting its community outreach and livelihood programs.
  • 601–800th in SDG 5 (Gender Equality) and SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions) – highlighting its policies on inclusivity and governance.
  • 801–1000th in SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) – underscoring its academic reforms and employment initiatives.
  • 1501+ in SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) – recognizing its holistic health programs and collaborations with educational institutions, local governments, and other organizations.

Since its debut in the 2022 rankings, NEUST has shown improvement, particularly in SDG 1 (No Poverty), SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), and SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth).

This year’s rankings evaluated 2,526 universities from 130 countries and regions, making NEUST’s sustained presence a testament to its commitment to sustainability and global development.

The THE Impact Rankings are the only global performance tables that evaluate universities against the UN’s SDGs, using metrics such as research, outreach, and stewardship.
