The Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST) hosted two board meetings for the upcoming State Colleges and Universities Athletic Association (SCUAA) III 2026 and Culture and the Arts Association of State Universities and Colleges (CAASUC) III 2025, held at the NEUST Sumacab Campus on June 30 and July 7, 2025, respectively.
As the confirmed host of the SCUAA III Regional Meet next year, the Director of NEUST’s Sports Development Office, Dr. Maria Theresa Dela Cruz, gathered representatives from various State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) in Central Luzon to discuss event planning, coordination, and logistics for SCUAA III Regional and National SCUAA 2026.
President Rhodora J. Jugo assured the delegates of NEUST’s full support in hosting the SCUAA Region III Meet 2026, highlighting the university’s readiness to provide secure accommodations, sufficient sanitation facilities, and a well-prepared campus environment for the duration of the athletic competition.
Meanwhile, the CAASUC III Regional Culture and Arts Festival Board Meeting, organized by Aurora State College of Technology (ASCOT), tackled the overall program framework, schedule, and budget allocation to address the expected expenses of the upcoming event.
Due to scheduling conflicts, ASCOT, the designated host for CAASUC III, expressed willingness to give way in hosting the event to ensure smoother coordination and convenience for all the participants.
SUC representatives engaged in discussions to identify an alternative host for the event, in which Dr. Anita David, President of Pampanga State Agricultural University (PSAU), volunteered to host the cultural meet.
Representatives from Region III SUCs acknowledged the adjustment and expressed support for the proposed hosting arrangement to ensure inclusive participation.
The settled dates for the upcoming regional events are February 21–27, 2026 for the SCUAA Region III Meet and November 10–14, 2025 for the CAASUC III Regional Culture and Arts Festival.
