The College of Education formally pinned and sent off its teacher-interns during the semestral Pinning and Send-Off Ceremony held on September 3, 2025 at the Mini-convention.
The event marked a significant milestone for education majors as they prepare to begin their teaching internships in partner schools. Parents and faculty members participated in the symbolic pinning rites, a tradition that affirms the readiness of student-teachers to assume the responsibilities of the teaching profession.
In her keynote address, University President Dr. Rhodora R. Jugo urged the interns to embrace the challenges of teaching with dedication and a deep sense of service.
Also in attendance were COED Dean Dr. Jo Neil T. Peria and members of the COED Experiential Team, led by Dr. Lea Veloso and Dr. Christopher Vergara, who organized the ceremony, and the faculty members.
The second part of the program was devoted to the Recognition of Academic and Service Achievers. Deanβs Listers were honored for their scholastic excellence, while the COED Academic and Service Awardees were commended for balancing academic achievement with meaningful community involvement.
The ceremony concluded with Dean Peria delivering a challenge to all student-teachersβto uphold the values of the teaching profession, embody the ideals of competence and service, and commit themselves fully to shaping the nation through education.
Through this milestone, NEUST reaffirmed its mission of producing competent and service-driven educators dedicated to advancing quality education in the Philippines.
