NEUST conducts ocular inspection and monitoring of Off-Campus Academic Programs
The Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST), through the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs (OVPAA), conducted an ocular inspection and monitoring of its off-campus programs located in San Antonio, Papaya (LGU Gen. Tinio), and Talavera.
The activity aimed to evaluate facilities, review documents, and verify compliance with academic and accreditation requirements.
The inspection was initiated by Dr. Feliciana Jacoba, University VPAA, and was carried out in coordination with the Quality Assurance Office, led by Dr. Analyn Gamit, Director, and Dr. Angelo Santos, Head of the Local and International Accreditation Unit.
Monitored programs included the Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEEd) at the San Antonio Off-Campus; BEEd and Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) at the Papaya Off-Campus; and BEEd, BS in Business Administration (BSBA), and BSIT at the Talavera Off-Campus.
The inspection was conducted in three phases: San Antonio and Papaya campuses on September 3; Talavera campus on September 4; and a follow-up online meeting on September 5 to address documentation concerns and compliance updates.
Joining the inspection team were university key officials, including Atty. Eric Claudio, Director of Southern Nueva Ecija Off-Campus; Dr. Sarah Alvarez, Dean of the College of Management and Business Technology; Dr. Jo Neil Peria, Dean of the College of Education; and Dr. Arnold Dela Cruz, Dean of the College of Information and Communications Technology.
They were received by local administrators and government officials representing the partner campuses and LGUs.
Also present during the visit were local accreditors Dr. Joy Savellano, Dr. Mary Jane Tomas, Dr. Ruth Ann Santos, and Prince Mert Nicolas, while online document monitoring was conducted by Dr. Jennifer Fronda and Dr. Mark Ren Villaflor.
The activity was part of NEUST’s academic monitoring efforts to ensure that programs offered off-campus meet institutional and external standards, including those relevant to regulatory and accreditation bodies.
