The Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST) College of Information and Communications Technology (CICT) Atate Campus, in partnership with the Management and Information System (MIS), conducted a training workshop titled “Hands-on Workshop on the Digital Pen Tablet (Huion) and Product Demonstration Featuring ATI’s Latest Offering” at the Technohub Building, Sumacab Campus, Cabanatuan City.

The event introduced students to emerging digital tools and provided practical experience in using industry-standard pen tablets.

In his message, Atty. Gerald Quijano, Director of Atate Campus, emphasized that experience is the best learning.

“Don’t just learn about technology—take this opportunity to use it, because this hands-on experience is what will truly upgrade your skills,” he said.

Meanwhile, Dr. Marlon Torres, MIS Director, stated, “Don’t just be another graduate. Learn something others don’t know, put that ‘plus one’ skill on your resume, and be the one they hire.”

Cathy Concil, Business Unit Head of American Technologies Inc., emphasized that the workshop exposed students to current industry trends and technologies, which was followed by a character design session facilitated by Jann Galino using the Huion digital pen tablet.

A speed drawing contest followed the lecture, where participants applied their learning using the device.

Participants included members of the CICT ACE-IT (Atate Campus Envoy of Information Technology) organization, selected faculty members from Atate Campus, and representatives from the MIS.
