The Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST), through its College of Education – Laboratory High School (COED-LHS), concluded an extension initiative, SoleRevive 2.0: Holistic Reflexology – Elevating Skills for Wellness and Healing program, certifying ten (10) women from Cabanatuan City with TESDA NCII in Reflexology.
Conducted in partnership with the St. Nicholas of Tolentine Cathedral Parish, the project underscored NEUST’s commitment to community development, health, and livelihood empowerment.
Over two months of training and evaluation, the participants completed their journey as certified therapists and NC holders, equipped with practical skills for both wellness and sustainable livelihood.
Rev. Fr. Alfonso Saulo, Parokya Vicar of the St. Nicholas of Tolentine Cathedral Parish, recalled the long-standing collaboration with NEUST in community-based initiatives and expressed gratitude, saying, “Matagal pa ang ating magiging ugnayan para sa mga kapatid natin upang magkaroon ng ikabubuhay. Mapalad tayong mapili ng NEUST na tulungan at gabayan—napakalaking bagay po nito para sa amin.”
NEUST President Dr. Rhodora Jugo, who graced the culmination activity, emphasized the program’s relevance, stating, “Ito talaga ang pangangailangan ng mga tao.
The culmination was also attended by Dr. Jo Niel Peria, Dean of the College of Education; Dr. Maria Fe Blas, Principal of the Laboratory High School; Dr. Marivic Villegas, Director of the NEUST Extension Department; Dr. Lorena Domingo, Guidance Coordinator and Senior High School Faculty; and Dr. Emmanuel Joy Cleto, COED-LHS Chair for Research, Extension, and Training.
Speaking on behalf of the graduates, program completer Amalia Galang conveyed their appreciation, saying, “Taos-puso po ang aming pasasalamat sa NEUST. Nainspire po kaming lahat sa kasipagan ng NEUST.”
The project was led by Dr. Domingo and Dr. Cleto, who witnessed the participants’ transformative journey and reinforced the university’s mission to empower communities through education and skills development.
Launched on June 25, 2025, this second phase followed the success of SoleRevive Phase 1 held on September 21, 2024, under the theme Empowering Wellness and Entrepreneurial Pathways through Reflexology.
With its continued success, NEUST is set to launch SoleRevive 3.0 as the next step in advancing wellness, healing, and livelihood through meaningful community partnerships.
