The Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST) hosted the 20th Regional Student Conference (RSCON) of the Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers of the Philippines, Inc. (IIEE) – Central Luzon Council of Student Chapters (CLCSC) held from October 9–11, 2025, at the NEUST Sumacab Campus, Cabanatuan City.

In celebration of IIEE’s 50th founding anniversary with the theme β€œIIEE@50: Celebrating 50 Years of Integrity, Innovation, Empowerment, and Excellence,” the three-day event gathered Electrical and Electronics Engineering students from various State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) across Region III to participate in a series of seminars, academic competitions, and sports activities.

The first day featured plenary sessions and technical seminars focused on professional growth, innovation, and fellowship, followed by an awarding ceremony for the pre-event kEEslap competitions.

The awards recognized the most outstanding EE school chapter, the most outstanding academic event, and the most outstanding innovation, where Bulacan State University (BulSU), Pangasinan State University (PSU) – Urdaneta Campus, and SEAnergy 2.0 of BulSU took home the respective awards.

The second day focused on academic competitions, including the 38th Regional Quiz Show and the 24th Regional Math Wizard, both conducted simultaneously nationwide with standardized questions provided by the IIEE Council of Student Chapters.

NEUST bagged the 3rd Runner Up in the Regional Math Wizard, while Colegio de San Gabriel Arcangel and Universidad De Dagupan emerged as champions in these competitions, respectively.

In addition to the academic challenges, the event featured eSports competitions, including Call of Duty Mobile, Mobile Legends, and Valorant, where NEUST Phonixes claimed Champion in Call of Duty Mobile and secured 1st place in both Mobile Legends and Valorant.

The conference culminated on the third day with the 1st Central Luzon Skills Olympics, which included wire splicing and building wiring challenges, the 2nd Central Luzon Philippine Electrical Code Quiz Show, and the 8th Central Luzon EElympicsβ€” promoting camaraderie and sportsmanship among participants with competitions in badminton, chess, basketball, and volleyball.

NEUST claimed 3rd Runner Up in Chess Women, 1st Runner Up in Chess Men, and Champion in badminton, basketball, and volleyball competitions.

The conduct of the 20th RSCON at NEUST reflects the University’s continuous support for academic excellence, student leadership, and professional development in the field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
