MALOLOS CITY, Bulacan – The Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST) strengthened its internationalization initiatives by participating in the International Networking for Taiwan Education and Strategic Exchange (INTENSE) Program Education Fair on October 13, 2025, hosted by Bulacan State University (BulSU) and co-organized by INTACT Base through the National Chung Hsing University, Taiwan, at the BulSU E-Library.
The international fair served as a platform for higher education institutions from the Philippines and Taiwan to establish connections that promote academic collaboration, student mobility, and global learning opportunities.
Leading the NEUST delegation were University President Dr. Rhodora Jugo and Atty. Eric Claudio, Director of the Office of International Affairs, together with college representatives Dr. Alma Pia Reyes of the College of Management and Business Technology, Emilsa Bantug of the College of Information and Communications Technology, Engr. Freni Ann Belarmino of the College of Engineering, and ten participating students from these colleges.
The gathering featured broad representation from the academic sector, including officials from the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) such as Commissioner Dr. Desiderio Apag III and CHED Regional Office III Director Dr. Lora Yusi, alongside delegates from various universities across Central Luzon and Taiwan.
In line with strengthening institutional partnerships, NEUST President Dr. Jugo signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the International Talent Circulation Base (Taiwan-Philippines), also known as INTACT Base PH.
INTACT Base PH, an initiative of Taiwan’s Ministry of Education, aims to enhance academic linkages between Taiwanese and Philippine universities through the INTENSE Program, which promotes educational exchange and cultivates globally competitive talents.
