The Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology College of Management and Business and Technology (CMBT), in partnership with the Guidance and Counseling Office, conducted a seminar titled “Kaya pa ba? A Seminar on Stress Management Techniques” on October 20, 2025, at Nieto Hall, Sumacab Campus, Cabanatuan City.

The event was attended by 3rd-year Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA), Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship (BSEntrep), and 4th-year Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management (BSHM) and Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management (BSTM) students.

This seminar aims to equip students with practical strategies to handle stress effectively, maintain emotional balance, and promote overall mental well-being.

In her message, University President Dr. Rhodora Jugo emphasized that β€œeven though stress is unavoidable, recognizing it as a part of our university life allows us to confront it with awareness and develop strategies to manage it.”

The seminar continued with the discussion on β€œUnderstanding and Managing Stress in College Life,” led by resource speaker Mr. Richard Arambulo, a faculty member of NEUST, who explained the causes and effects of stress among college students, and introduced techniques such as mindfulness, positive self-talk, time management, and the importance of seeking support from peers and counselors.

An open forum followed, where students shared their experiences and clarified their concerns regarding stress management.

The event concluded with a message from CMBT Dean Dr. Sarah Alvarez, who reminded students that β€œit’s okay not to be okay, but what’s important is being self-aware of your boundaries and knowing when to reach out for help.”
