The Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST) further strengthened its commitment to advancing quality assurance and international collaboration as its officials participated in the AUN-QA Chief Quality Officers (CQOs) Meeting 2025, held on November 7, 2025, at the University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Representing NEUST were University President Dr. Rhodora Jugo, Quality Assurance Office Director Dr. Analyn Gamit, and Local and International Accreditation Unit Head Dr. Angelo Santos.

The meeting gathered quality assurance leaders from ASEAN universities to discuss several agendas related to the continued enhancement of higher education quality across the region.

The Agenda 1 included adopting of conference agenda and confirmation of session arrangements.

Under Agenda 2, the AUN Executive Director presented key updates and supporting references, including the AUN IQA Management Toolkit (Version 1.3) and the INQAAHE ISG Alignment Scheme, both previous and updated versions highlight AUN-QA’s continuous alignment with international standards.

Agenda 3 covered the Report from the AUN-QA Council Meeting, which included the Guidelines for AUN-QA Assessment and Assessors (Version 3.0) and the AUN-QA Programme Assessment Application, aiming to strengthen assessor development and assessment consistency across member institutions.

In Agenda 4, the AUN-QA Secretariat presented its report, including the Memorandum of Agreement between AUN, AQAN, and SEAMEO RIHED, and a Policy Brief on advancing quality standardization and management in Philippine higher education.

Agenda 5 discussed the selection of host universities for the AUN-QA International Conference 2025–2026, supported by a draft project proposal outlining future conference plans to promote collaboration and best practices among ASEAN universities.

The meeting concluded with closing remarks from the AUN Executive Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thanapan Laiprakobsup, expresses appreciation for the continued efforts of Chief Quality Officers in fostering a strong quality culture and excellence in higher education across the ASEAN region.

Through its active participation, NEUST reaffirmed its dedication to regional cooperation and the pursuit of academic quality and institutional resilience, fully supporting AUN-QA’s mission of advancing harmonized standards in ASEAN higher education.
