The Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST), through the College of Education and the Graduate School, hosted a Welcome Program for the Faculty Exchange and Pre-Service Student Teacher Exchange in Southeast Asia (SEA-Teacher) Project Batch 11.
Held on November 14, 2025, at the Rico Fajardo Hall, NEUST Sumacab Campus, the activity formally received two (2) visiting faculty members from Universitas Muhammadiyah Kudus (UM Kudus) and five (5) pre-service teachers from Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS), Indonesia.
Under the Faculty Exchange Program, NEUST welcomed Dr. Diah Kurniati (English Education) and Dr. Indah Lestari (Guidance and Counseling) of UM Kudus.
For the SEA Teacher Project (Batch 11), the following pre-service teachers from UNS were presented: Alexandra Wijaya (Accounting Education), Nadia Indri Safitri (Chemistry Education), Afifah Jihan Nabilah (Biology Education), Eva Octavia Rahmadhani (Accounting Education), and Shakira Maharani Putri (Chemistry Education).
In her message, NEUST President Dr. Rhodora R. Jugo emphasized NEUST’s commitment to strengthening academic partnerships and collaborative engagements with institutions abroad.
Speaking on behalf of UM Kudus, Dr. Kurniati conveyed the institution’s intent to sustain faculty and student exchanges and to pursue community engagement and research collaboration activities.
Meanwhile, SEA Teacher representative Ms. Putri acknowledged the support provided by NEUST and expressed their group’s readiness to participate in academic activities throughout the duration of their stay.
The program concluded with a message from Dr. Jocelyn Cruz, Dean of the Graduate School, who affirmed NEUST’s support for international academic partnerships and initiatives aligned with the university’s internationalization agenda.
This initiative supports academic collaboration, exchange of teaching practices, and the development of joint research activities, providing opportunities for participants to observe and engage in classroom instruction, work alongside NEUST educators, and take part in intercultural learning experiences between NEUST, UM Kudus, and UNS.
