The Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST) has once again demonstrated its commitment to quality and excellence by passing the ISO 9001:2015 1st Surveillance Audit conducted from November 18 to 19, 2025.

Facilitated by W3 Solutionz auditors Ms. Mary Glory Caunin and Ms. Khen O. David, the comprehensive evaluation assessed the Universityโ€™s adherence to the requirements of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2015 for Quality Management Systems.

Ms. Caunin noted that the University displayed openness and transparency, particularly in the on-time showing of records observed during the two-day visit.

Several positive points were highlighted by the auditors, including top managementโ€™s leadership and commitment to improving the quality management system and satisfying clientele, the 100% employability rate of BS Nursing graduates, the Universityโ€™s strong alignment with its global vision, an efficient filing system, effective implementation of succession planning, and commendable cleanliness and orderliness, among others.

However, the auditors also discussed several opportunities for improvement, including refining interventions related to different learning modalities and sustainable buildings, enhancing the risk management procedure, standardizing certain documented information, ensuring consistent monitoring of manuals and procedures, and improving the organization of evidence on actions taken in various procedures and document processes, among others.

In response, NEUST President Dr. Rhodora Jugo affirmed that all the recommendations given were taken responsibly and will be acted upon with urgency and accountability.

โ€œRest assured that the University will comply with all requirements. On behalf of the NEUST community, I assure you of our unwavering commitment to quality assurance,โ€ said the President.

Dr. Jugo also acknowledged the effort of all personnel in ensuring the successful conduct of the audit.

As part of the protocol, NEUST was given thirty (30) days to comply with and provide responses to minor non-conformities.
