The Second Preliminary Survey Visit (PSV) by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines, Inc. (AACCUP) at the Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST) officially commenced today, November 21, 2025, through an opening program held at Rico Fajardo Hall, NEUST Sumacab Campus.

This PSV marks another milestone for the university, following its institutional accreditation and receipt of permission from AACCUP to conduct its own preliminary visitsโ€”an internal verification process designed to determine readiness for formal Level I accreditation.

The AACCUP representatives will assess four academic programs during this visit: Bachelor of Science in Psychology, Bachelor of Science in Food Technology, Bachelor of Science in Biology, and Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management.

Dr. Jennifer Fronda, Associate Professor V and Overall Coordinator of the Accreditation Team, emphasized NEUSTโ€™s commitment to quality and continuous improvement.

โ€œThis accreditation indicates a steadfast commitment to excellence. By submitting your programs to AACCUP evaluation, you demonstrate your dedication to delivering quality education that is relevant, effective, and continuously improving,โ€ she said.

In her message, NEUST Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Feliciana Jacoba highlighted the honor granted to NEUST to conduct its own PSV:

โ€œWe were given the privilege to facilitate our own PSV because 100% of our accreditable programs have already achieved accreditation status. With the numerous recognitions we have earned, many of our programs have now reached Level IV.โ€

Dr. Jacoba also acknowledged the dedication of the faculty and staff, noting that the universityโ€™s accomplishments are the result of their collective hard work and commitment to excellence.

The accreditation activities will run from November 24 to 28, 2025.

The opening program was attended by NEUST key officials, members of the NEUST Accreditation Team, faculty, and staff.
