The Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology Extension Services Department conducted the University Extension In-House Review 2025 on November 26, 2025 at Nieto Hall, Sumacab Campus, Cabanatuan City.
The annual activity served as a platform that systematically reviewed, evaluated, and enhanced extension program proposals to ensure alignment with university goals, relevance and impact to communities, strengthened planning and monitoring processes, interdisciplinary collaboration, faculty capacity building, informed administrative decision-making, and compliance with quality assurance and accreditation requirements.
In her message, Vice President for Research, Extension, and Training Dr. Jean Guillasper highlighted the importance of proper coordination and adherence to processes in extension implementation, stating that βyou need to know how to collaborate, to coordinate, and to know the true channels.β
The panel of evaluators included Dr. Guillasper, alongside Director of the Research Services Department Dr. Marilene Hipolito, Director of the Extension Services Department Dr. Marivic Villegas, Director of the Training Services Department Dr. Marilou Pascual, Head of the Innovation Management Office Dr. Egdelly Vitug, Director of the Community Advancement thru Responsive Extension Services Jonathan Sulit, and Director of the Office of Extension and Training of Pampanga State Agricultural University Dr. Amalia Briones.
The program proceeded with the presentation of extension proposals where 14 presenters from various departments shared their proposed programs followed by a Q&A and feedback session with the panel of evaluators.
Meanwhile in her closing message, Dr. Villegas emphasized the collective responsibility to deliver relevant and impactful programs and stating that βlet us continue working together for our communities, for our environment, and for a better and more sustainable future.β
