The Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology Research, Extension, and Training held the Research, Innovation, Extension, and Training (RIET) Year-End Accomplishment and Status Report 2025 on December 11, 2025, at the Ortiz Hall, NEUST Sumacab Campus.

The activity aimed to present accomplishments, review implementation status, and align research, extension, and training outputs with the universityโ€™s strategic development priorities.

In her message, Dr. Jean Guillasper, Vice President for Research, Extension, and Training, emphasized the regular conduct of the activity, stating, โ€œWe conduct this not for the sake of competing, but for the sake of presenting our outputs and aligning into our program thrust or the program thrust of the University.โ€

She acknowledged the continued support of deans, directors, center heads, and RET personnel, and highlighted the importance of feedback and alignment with planning for future initiatives.

Meanwhile, Dr. Kenneth Armas, Director of the Planning and Development Office, discussed the integration of RET accomplishments into the universityโ€™s strategic development plan, annual reports, and upcoming institutional assessments.

The program continued with the presentation of the accomplishment and status reports from the RET departments and offices, namely the Research Services Department, Extension Services Department, University Training Department, Research Publication Center, Innovation Management Office, and the research and extension centers including the Metal and Engineering Innovation Center, Food Innovation Center, Center for Environmental Research, Regional Center for Indigenous Peoples Education, Onion and Garlic Research Center, Integrated Onion Program, Data and Statistics Analysis Center, Community Learning Research Center, and Community Training Center.

Dr. Guillasper then presented the research deliverable challenges of the colleges and campuses to identify areas for improvement and prioritization.

The activity concluded with a message from Dr. Marilou Pascual, Director of Training Services, who thanked the participants for their time and continued commitment to NEUST initiatives.
