True to its mission to transform communities toward inclusive progress, the Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST) signed Memorandums of Agreement and Understanding with five (5) local and international partner agencies and government institutions on January 21, 2026, at the President’s Conference Room, NEUST Sumacab Campus.

In her message, NEUST President Dr. Rhodora Jugo highlighted that the University continuously collaborates with both local and international agencies and institutions with the long-term goal of uplifting communities.

β€œThis signing ceremony affirms our commitment to sustaining collaborative efforts and cultivating long-term engagements. It is an important step toward strengthening our partnerships and broadening our support for one another both locally and globally,” she said, emphasizing that one of the key pillars of the current administration is bridging communities across borders.

Under these agreements, Divina Pastora Multipurpose Cooperative (DPMPC), the Local Government Unit of San Isidro, Nueva Ecija, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Central Luzon Field Office III, the Philippine Army’s Installation Management Command (IMCOM), and Universitas Muhammadiyah Kendari (UMK), Indonesia, will collaborate with NEUST in carrying out its mandates while addressing various community needs.

These partnerships focus on the development of knowledge and technologies through research, extension, training, and production services that aim to bring positive and sustainable impact to society.

In response, Ms. Josefina Masilang of DPMPC, Engr. Gregorio Atacador of San Isidro LGU, Ms. Jaimie Arcega of DSWD FO III, Brigadier General Eddie Pilapil of IMCOM, PA, and Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Muhammad Nurdin of UMK (who joined virtually), all expressed their commitment to support NEUST’s programs and advocacies.

β€œWe view partnerships as part of a comprehensive package of long-term support, and the University is ready to harness world-class knowledge and expertise from our pool of scholars, researchers, practitioners, and institutional collaborators. Through these collective strengths, we aim to deliver more responsive, globally competitive, and community-centered programs,” Dr. Jugo added.

The ceremonial signing was also attended by key NEUST officials, including Vice President for Research, Extension, and Training Dr. Jean Guillasper; Extension Services Department Director Dr. Marivic Villegas; Fort Magsaysay Campus Director Dr. Angelita Masa; Atate Campus Director Atty.
