The Professional Regulatory Board of Food Technology (PRBFT) assessed the Food Technology program of the Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST) College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) through a monitoring and inspection visit on January 27, 2026 held at the University Presidentโs Conference Room, Gen. Tinio Campus, Cabanatuan City.
The activity aimed to assess the programโs compliance with national standards for food technology education, including curriculum implementation, faculty qualifications, laboratory facilities, instructional materials, and overall program management.ย
Leading the PRBFT delegation were Remedios V. Baclig, PFT; Mary Grace Mandigma, PFT; and Ivy N. Dionisio, PRC representative, who conducted the evaluation and engaged in discussions with university officials and faculty members regarding program implementation and continuous improvement initiatives.
University officials present during the activity included University President Dr. Rhodora Jugo, Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Feliciana Jacoba, CAS Dean Dr. Mario Abesamis Jr., Program Chair Ryan Cabanatan, and other faculty members of the Food Technology program.
Relevant documents and reports were presented during the inspection, followed by discussions on academic delivery, laboratory safety and adequacy, and research and training support facilities.
In his message, Dr. Abesamis Jr. thanked the visitors for the evaluation and guidance provided during the visit.

The monitoring provided a valuable academic review of the universityโs adherence to prescribed standards, particularly in terms of laboratory facilities that support instruction, research, and student training,โ the dean said.
The university administration likewise welcomed the monitoring activity, reaffirming NEUSTโs commitment to quality assurance, academic excellence, and compliance with regulatory requirements for professional programs.
