The Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST) held the Kick-Off Ceremony for Proposed Systems and Launching of Developed Systems on February 13, 2026, at the Techno Hub, NEUST Sumacab Campus.

The activity aimed to formally introduce newly developed digital systems and present proposed platforms set for development in the coming months.

The event provided proper orientation and hands-on training for end-users to ensure smooth adoption, minimize resistance to change, prevent operational issues, and strengthen communication between end-users and the developers’ team.

In his message, NEUST Management Information System Director and Chief Information Officer Dr. Marlon Torres expressed pride and optimism as the University continues to advance its digital transformation initiatives.

Dr. Torres emphasized that the systems being continuously  developed by the department reflect NEUST’s commitment to keeping pace with fast-evolving technologies and encouraged participants to actively contribute to improving the University’s ICT systems as NEUST moves toward becoming a “smart-global university.”

Meanwhile, NEUST Vice President for Administration, Business, and Finance Atty. Bembol Castillo conveyed full support of the current administration for the MIS and the systems being developed to streamline university transactions for the benefit of students and stakeholders.

“Bahagi ito ng malawak na pananaw ng Pangulo at ng Unibersidad—let’s keep on pushing good plans for NEUST to become a ‘smart-global’ university,” he said.

Proposed Systems

Eight (8) systems were presented for development:

  • Locator’s Map – Mr. Rey John Aguilar and Mr. Laryll John Paraiso
  • Online Alumni System – Ms. Menchie Mateo and Mr. Jomar Basco
  • Online Guidance Management System – Mr. Jomar Basco
  • Online IGP System – Mr. June Bernard Tayopon
  • Executive System – Ms. Kathleen Anne Esbieto
  • PhilHealth System – Mr. Adler Timbang, Mr. Meinard Gonzales, and Mr. Camilo Villaviza
  • Procurement System – Mr. Camilo Villaviza and Mr. Rey John Aguilar
  • NEUST Complaint System – Mr. JC Solidum and Mr. Jhester Urbano

These systems are expected to enhance operational efficiency, transparency, and service delivery across various university offices.

Systems Officially Launched

Four (4) systems were formally launched, accompanied by live demonstrations and actual user training:

  • Online Sports Management System – Mr. Jomar Basco and Ms. Menchie Mateo
  • Online Medical and Dental System – Mr. Camilo Villaviza and Mr. June Bernard Tayopon
  • Online Supply and Inventory System – Mr. Camilo Villaviza and Mr. June Bernard Tayopon
  • Online Document Tracking System – Mr. Rey John Aguilar and Mr. Jomar Basco

The event was attended by key university officials, unit heads, and representatives from respective end-user departments.

Through these initiatives, NEUST continues to strengthen its digital infrastructure and reaffirm its commitment to innovation, efficiency, and responsive service as it advances toward becoming a smart and globally competitive university.
