The NEUST officially sent off its athletes for the SCUAA III Regional Meet 2026 through a celebratory program on February 18, 2026, held at the NEUST Closed Gym, Sumacab Campus.

The ceremony began with an Ash Wednesday and SCUAA send-off Mass, presided over by Rev. Armando Caleon, Vice Rector of Maria Assumpta Seminary.

In her message, University Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Feliciana Jacoba emphasized that representing the university goes beyond athletic performanceโ€”it also reflects courage, kindness, goodwill, and ethical conduct.

Dr. Jacoba encouraged attendees to face challenges with composure, communicate concerns respectfully with leaders, and uphold the values instilled by the university.

“Not just a player, but a good, ethical studentโ€”remember, itโ€™s not just about bringing home the bacon, but about showing courage, kindness, and integrity in everything you do,” she said.

Meanwhile, University President Dr. Rhodora Jugo highlighted the importance of respect, discipline, and responsibility, reminding everyone to care for the facilities and resources provided to the athletes.

The president also encouraged athletes to demonstrate courage, determination, and sportsmanship not only in competitions but in life.

“Our strength is not just in our uniforms, but also in our actions as a government. In every game and competition, we show our courage, discipline, and determination that will lead to success,” she emphasized.

The program continued with the presentation of delegates and coaches per category, led by Dr. Ma. Theresa Dela Cruz, followed by team-building activities and parlor games organized by USG officers, and the ceremonial toss.
