Key officials of the Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST) served as resource persons during a Capacity Building Activity for members of the Local School Board of Palayan City, aimed at strengthening competencies in education governance, planning, and policy implementation.

Held today, March 18, 2026, at the City Hall Compound, Singalan, Palayan City, the activity gathered education stakeholders and local officials in a collaborative effort to enhance leadership, strategic planning, and effective decision-making in the delivery of basic education programs at the local level.

The initiative was spearheaded by Palayan City Mayor Vianne Cuevas, who highlighted the importance of continuous learning, partnership, and shared responsibility in building a more responsive and sustainable local education system, consistent with the city government’s continuing support for education development programs.

Serving as resource persons were NEUST President Dr. Rhodora Jugo, Planning and Development Office Director Dr. Kenneth Armas, and Infrastructure Development Office Director Engr. Allan Abenoja, Jr., who shared their expertise on key areas related to education governance, policy direction, and strategic planning.

Their discussions emphasized the importance of strong collaboration among higher education institutions, local government units, and school leaders in ensuring quality and inclusive education for learners.
