The Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST) records another institutional development as Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Feliciana Jacoba was conferred the Manuel T. Corpuz Outstanding Quality Champion Award 2026, the highest distinction for performance excellence granted by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP).

The award was presented on March 24, 2026, during the 39th AACCUP Annual National Conference and General Assembly.

On the same occasion, Dr. Analyn Gamit, Director of the NEUST Quality Assurance Office, received the Manuel T. Corpuz Outstanding Quality Advocate Award in recognition of her role in advancing the university’s quality assurance systems.

When Dr. Jacoba assumed university leadership in 2016, NEUST was positioned for institutional strengthening through structural consolidation, systems integration, and alignment with national and international standards.

Dr. Jacoba established the Office of Quality Assurance to support the development and implementation of internal quality systems across academic and administrative units.

Through strengthened processes, documentation, faculty mentoring, and sustained preparation initiatives, the University achieved full program accreditation coverage, Level III Institutional Accreditation, and recognition as a Top Performing State University in accredited programs.

ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems were institutionalized and maintained, while the University also underwent the Institutional Sustainability Assessment and secured Certificates of Program Compliance for its academic programs from the Commission on Higher Education.

The University’s Philippine Quality Award recognition in 2024 reflected the implementation of its organizational performance systems.

NEUST also expanded its participation in international benchmarking through a QS Three Stars rating, inclusion in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings, participation in the World University Rankings for Innovation, improved standing in Webometrics, and AUN-QA Associate Membership in 2023.

International memoranda of understanding with partner institutions supported academic mobility, research collaboration, and institutional linkages.

These developments reflect the University’s continued implementation of quality systems, academic programs, and external engagements.
