GS WEBINAR ON HERBAL PLANTS AND HERBAL MEDICINES

The increasing number of COVID-19 cases in the Philippines has caused almost all the people in the world to gain anxieties and fear of accumulating the said virus for it can also result in death if not treated at an early stage.

Concerning the above facts, the Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology Graduate School Extension Department led by Dr. Jet C. Aquino with Dr. Miguel R. Santos, thought of conducting a free webinar on the Importance of Herbal Plants and Herbal Medicines proliferated in many localities in the Philippines, specifically in the Province of Nueva Ecija. These Herbal Plants and Herbal Medicines can be used as alternative medicines.

The webinar’s participants were welcomed by the Chairman of the Math & Science Department, Dr. Miguel R. Santos who also gave the virtual activity’s statement of purpose. Before the lecture proper, the University President, Dr. Feliciana P. Jacoba gave an inspiring message as well as the Dean of CEU School of Pharmacy, Dr. Cecilia Santiago.

The webinar was held on March 27, 2021, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 noon. The invited speakers were the following with the topics assigned to them:

The online activity was concluded by the Dean of the Graduate School, Dr. Jocelyn B. Cruz while Dr. Jo Neil Peria, the NEUST Training Director, served as the moderator.
