Vaccine is the only remedy to stop the spread of COVID-19. This is the rationale why the government has tried its best to purchase vaccines from other nations. However, so many confusions and uncertainties have been gone through by the Filipino people regarding the vaccines’ efficacy and their adverse events.

In line with the above issue, the NEUST Health Services, in partnership with the Nueva Ecija Medical Society, organized a webinar with its title “COVID-19 Vaccines: Facts and Fallacies (Iturok Mo Na Baby!)” on May 6, 2021, via zoom and FB live.

This virtual activity aimed at educating people as regards COVID-19 VACCINE as an effective means of protecting people from the atrocious virus. Before the lectures of the invited guest speakers, Dr. Honorato P. Panahon jovially welcomed all the attendees. Then, rousing messages were conveyed by the University President, Dr. Feliciana P. Jacoba and by the President of the Philippine Medical Association-Nueva Ecija Chapter, Dr. Jeremias B. Bautista.

The guest lecturers from the Nueva Ecija Medical Society were gleefully introduced by the University Physician, Dr. Margarita Belinda V. Gamilla. They are as follows:

Dr. Hazel Tolentino – Internist and Pulmonologist (Speaker) Dr. Chandy Lou Malong-Calanoc – Internist and Endocrinologist (Reactor, Moderator)
