Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST) officially welcomes Dr. Rhodora R. Jugo as the Fourth University President through the Investiture Rites on April 18, 2024, at NEUST Closed Gymnasium, Sumacab Campus.

In celebration of purpose and tradition, the program kicked off with a processional march of the bearers of the Ceremonial Symbols, Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Commissioner Dr. Ronald L. Adamat, CHEDRO III Regional Director Dr. Lora L. Yusi, the members of the NEUST Board of Regents, and the newly appointed University President alongside her family.

Dr. Honorato P. Panahon, NEUST’s Executive Vice President and VP for Administration, Business, and Finance, introduced the president, emphasizing her distinguished career in education and unwavering dedication to leadership and lifelong learning.

Dr. Jugo was formally presented, with her Appointment, as the University President by Dr. Adamat, followed by the installation of Symbols of Authority; and the administration and signing of the Oath of Office.

In her heartfelt address, President Rhodora R. Jugo expressed gratitude to those who had supported her journey and outlined her vision, aspirations, and goals for NEUST as it strides toward global competitiveness.

Dr. Jugo reflected on NEUST’s rich legacy and the profound impact of her predecessors, Engr. Dr. Feliciana P. Jacoba, Atty. Dr. Hilario C. Ortiz, and the late Dr. Gemiliano C. Caling. Drawing inspiration from their leadership, Dr. Jugo pledged to build upon their achievements and guide NEUST toward greater heights of success and distinction.

She then outlined her strategic vision of NEUST, presenting six pillars that would serve as the foundation for transformative growth and development: Educational Excellence and Innovation, Inclusive Student Services, Human Capital Empowerment, Institutional Advancement, Impactful Research; and Sustainable Community Engagement and Transparent Governance. These pillars captured Dr. Jugo’s commitment to fostering a dynamic and inclusive learning environment at NEUST.

Believing that in solidarity comes the greatest power, Dr. Jugo aims to continue fostering cooperation and collaboration within the NEUST community, having faith that the university can surpass future challenges and can go to greater heights.

Closing her speech, Dr. Jugo expressed heartfelt gratitude to all those who had supported her on her journey, including family, friends, colleagues, and mentors. With humility and grace, she embraced her new role as President of NEUST, guided by faith, purpose, and a steadfast commitment to excellence.

The investiture ceremony ended with congratulatory messages from Hon. Myca Elizabeth R. Vergara, Mayor of Cabanatuan City; Atty. Jose Maria Ceasar C. San Pedro, Provincial Tourism Officer of Nueva Ecija, on behalf of Hon. Aurelio M. Umali, the Governor of Nueva Ecija; and Dr. Ronald L. Adamat, CHED Commissioner and Chairman of NEUST Board of Regents affirming full support for Dr. Jugo with high hopes and confidence that her administration will bring pride to the university, community, and the nation as a whole.

Also in attendance at the ceremony were the officials from CHED Region III, government officials from Nueva Ecija, presidents and representatives of different Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in Central Luzon, private sector partners, NEUST alumni, NEUST Administrative Council, faculty and staff, students, and family and friends of Dr. Jugo.
