NEUST, BulSU to collaborate on language, cultural exchange
The Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST) through the Institute of Linguistics and Literature (IOLL) welcomed future partners from the Confucius Institute at Bulacan State University (BulSU) on February 5, 2025.
Dr. Rhodora R. Jugo, NEUST President, stressed the potential collaborations with partner institutions the promotion of Chinese language education and cultural exchange programs in the University to foster global partnerships and enrich academic experiences.
The possibility of signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the institutions highlighted the event, aiming to formalize collaborative efforts, strengthen academic and cultural ties, and provide opportunities for faculty and students to engage in cross-cultural learning experiences.
Present during the meeting were Atty. Eric G. Claudio, Director of NEUST International Affairs; Dr. Rommel V. Espejo, Director of the Institute of Linguistics and Literature; Dr. Suzette DC. Domingo, Chair of the Filipino Department; Ms. Marites P. Geronimo, Chair of the English Department; and select IOLL faculty members.
Meanwhile, the delegation from BulSU was led by Dr. Ge Hongli, the Chinese Director of the Confucius Institute, and Prof. Israel DC. Saguinsin, Head of Global Partnership Networks and Executive Assistant Filipino Director of the Confucius Institute.
