To provide graduating students with direct employment opportunities and enhance their career readiness, the Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST) Alumni and Placement Office hosted a Job Fair on April 29, 2025, at the NEUST Mini Convention Hall.
The event, attended by approximately 1,200 graduating students from various NEUST campuses, offered participants the opportunity to explore job prospects and engage in career readiness activities.
Dr. Filip Carlo Bolisay, Director of the Alumni and Placement Office, and Randy Baรฑez, J.D., Director of the OJT and Career Development Office, delivered the opening remarks.
They emphasized the importance of personality development, professionalism, effective communication, and proper workplace etiquette as crucial tools for making a strong impression and successfully landing a job.
“I hope this gives everyone a chanceโor at least a shotโthat even before graduating, thereโs a job waiting for you. Good luck with your interviews and job applications,” Dr. Bolisay said.
Beth Garcia, Development Management Officer III of the Provincial Employment Service Office, and Jommel Yabot, Senior Labor and Employment Officer of DOLE Nueva Ecija, led the orientation sessions.
They provided valuable insights on employment, workplace ethics, and the importance of understanding labor laws.
“It is important to have at least a basic knowledge of labor law. This will help prevent being taken advantage of by employers. While we, at DOLE, are here to assist you, itโs crucial that you learn as much as you can,” Yabot said.
A total of 18 companies participated in the event, including Jocson Construction, Suzuki Nueva Ecija, J-K Network Services, Monde Nissin, Nutri Line Inc., ASKI, MaxiHealth, Manulife, 14M, Recreo, Laus Auto Group, Mimar Models, M.V. Gallego Foundation Colleges Inc., Savemore, and San Miguel Corporation.
