Dr. Rhodora R. Jugo, President of Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST), served as the guest speaker during the 5th Senior High School and 1st Alternative Learning System (ALS) Commencement Exercises of Top Link Global College on April 14, 2026, held at the PHINMA Araullo University Gymnasium, Cabanatuan City.

Anchored on the theme, β€œFilipino Graduates: Prepared to Lead with Competence and Character”,Β the ceremony celebrated the achievements of the graduating class while emphasizing their readiness to take on greater roles in society.

In her keynote address, Dr. Jugo underscored that graduation marks not an end, but the beginning of a broader responsibility. She affirmed that the graduates are now prepared to face a more complex and demanding worldβ€”one that requires not only knowledge and skills but also integrity, compassion, and strong principles.

Central to her message was the call for graduates to become leaders who contribute meaningfully to society. She emphasized that true success goes beyond personal achievement, urging them to use their education and values to uplift others and create opportunities within their communities.

Dr. Jugo introduced a guiding framework for the graduates using the acronym π—§π—Ÿπ—šπ—–, representing four essential pillars of leadership: π™π™–π™‘π™žπ™£π™€ (π˜Ύπ™€π™’π™₯π™šπ™©π™šπ™£π™˜π™š), π™‡π™šπ™–π™™π™šπ™§π™¨π™π™žπ™₯, 𝙂𝙀𝙀𝙙 π˜Ύπ™π™–π™§π™–π™˜π™©π™šπ™§, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 π˜Ύπ™€π™’π™’π™žπ™©π™’π™šπ™£π™©. She explained that competence involves critical thinking and adaptability in a rapidly changing world; leadership is demonstrated through influence, service, and the ability to inspire; good character serves as the foundation of integrity and ethical conduct; and commitment reflects perseverance and dedication despite challenges.

Addressing the graduates, she highlighted their role as bearers of their institution’s name and honor, expressing confidence that they will continue to excel and even surpass current achievements. She also acknowledged the invaluable support of parents and families, recognizing their sacrifices as integral to the success of the graduates.

β€œAng mundo ayΒ  hindi naghihintay ng perpekto; ang mundo ay naghihintay ng mga taong handang kumilos, handang tumindig at handang maglingkodβ€”at kayo iyon,” she emphasized, encouraging the graduates to move forward with courage and purpose.

Dr. Jugo concluded by reminding the graduates to remain grounded in their roots while striving for excellence. She challenged them to become pathfinders who will not only walk their own journeys but also open doors for others, embodying the true essence of Filipino graduates prepared to lead with competence and character.
