To provide graduating students with direct employment opportunities and enhance their career readiness, the Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST) Alumni and Placement Office hosted a Job Fair on April 29, 2026, at the NEUST Mini Convention Hall.

The event gathered approximately 1,000 graduating students from various NEUST campuses, offering them opportunities to explore job prospects and participate in career readiness activities.

In his message, Dr. Filip Carlo Bolisay, Director of the Alumni and Placement Office, emphasized the importance of personality development, professionalism, effective communication, and proper workplace etiquette as essential tools for securing employment.

NEUST President Dr. Rhodora Jugo highlighted that the university’s mission extends beyond graduation by continuously guiding and monitoring graduates’ career paths.

Dr. Jugo underscored NEUST’s strong employability performance in Region III, reflecting the quality and workforce readiness of its graduates, despite economic challenges such as inflation, underemployment, and evolving industry demands, reassuring applicants that opportunities remain available.

“The future of jobs in the Philippines may be uncertain, yet it remains rich with opportunities for those who are willing to move forward and forge their own paths,” she said.

Maria Luisa Pangilinan, President of PESO Central Luzon, encouraged graduates and job seekers—especially those from OJT and NTSC programs—to believe in their potential and take advantage of job fair opportunities.

Pangilinan also urged employers to give first-time applicants a fair chance, recognizing that everyone begins somewhere.

Meanwhile, Jayjay Calimag, Senior Labor and Employment Officer, emphasized the importance of understanding workers’ rights and responsibilities, highlighting key labor standards such as wages, working hours, and benefits, noting that these are guided by established regulations and collaborative decision-making among relevant sectors.

A total of seven companies participated in the event, including Farmers AMC, San Jose I-Power Corporation, SM Supermalls, Manulife, Sun Life, Maxicare, and San Miguel Corporation.
