The Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST) concluded the three-day Third Survey Visit for the accreditation of four (4) academic programs by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP), Inc., through a hybrid exit conference held on May 5, 2026, at Rico Fajardo Hall, NEUST Sumacab Campus.

The programs under review included the Bachelor of Elementary Education; the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, major in Marketing Management; the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, major in Database Systems Technology and Web Systems Technology; and the Bachelor of Physical Education, all offered at the NEUST San Isidro Campus.

AACCUP Overall Accreditor Dr. Ronnie Parica lauded NEUST for its strong culture of excellence and sustained commitment to quality assurance.

“The conduct of this accreditation visit reflects the institution’s strong commitment to quality assurance and continuous improvement. There is a clear and collective emphasis on excellence,” he said.

Dr. Parica highlighted the evident strengths of the programs, citing their maturity, stability, and strong commitment to delivering quality education—noting that these reflect a well-institutionalized culture of excellence, with programs clearly aligned to national teacher education standards. He also emphasized the integration of technology and innovative practices that enhance teaching and learning competence, as well as the commendable licensure examination performance of the BEEd program.

Further, he underscored the institution’s strong compliance with accreditation standards, promising innovations, and clear direction in international linkages; and also pointed out the integrated focus on instruction, research, and extension, supported by adequate funding and active faculty engagement in research initiatives.

Meanwhile, NEUST President Dr. Rhodora Jugo expressed gratitude and reaffirmed the University’s commitment to quality assurance and responsive governance.

“As the global landscape becomes increasingly competitive, quality assurance serves as our foundation. Iisa kami ng galaw—para sa University, para sa bayan, at sa ating community. As the University continues to respond to societal needs, we remain committed to fulfilling our multifaceted roles,” President Jugo said.

The comprehensive evaluation covered the following areas: curriculum and instruction, extension services, linkages and consortia, research, and faculty development.

The university was also praised for its commendable dedication to maintaining quality education through innovation, collaboration, and continuous institutional development.

The accreditors also provided recommendations for improvement, including increasing plantilla faculty positions, enhancing research publication outputs, strengthening sustainable extension programs, conducting comprehensive tracer studies, and expanding library partnerships with other institutions, among others.

In response, Dr. Pastora De Guzman, Director of the NEUST San Isidro Campus, expressed appreciation for the evaluators’ insights and affirmed the campus’s commitment to act on all recommendations.

“Rest assured that all the recommendations and suggestions will be followed for the enhancement and continuous improvement of the campus,” she said.
