The Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST) β Atate Campus, in collaboration with the NEUST Training Department, conducted an international webinar aimed at exploring how emerging technologies, innovation, and global development frameworks are reshaping education, research, business, and sustainability on June 11, 2026.
Dubbed βASEAN BRIDGE 2026: Advancing Synergies in Business, Research, Innovation, Digital Growth, and Education,β the webinar gathered academic leaders, researchers, and experts from the Philippines, Thailand, China, Vietnam, and Malaysia.
In her message, NEUST President Dr. Rhodora Jugo emphasized the importance of collaboration and collective action in addressing contemporary challenges across various sectors.
βProgress today demands not just adaptation but visionary leadership and purposeful action. Through intentional alliances and shared goals, we can transform challenges into opportunities and bold ideas into realities,β she said.
Meanwhile, Mr. Zhao Shuangliang, Vice President of Guangxi University, presented a proposal for a sustainable development alliance anchored on international collaboration, student exchange programs, and joint research initiatives.
βBy working together, we can lead the digital transformation of higher education beyond our alliance. We are more than happy to share our resources and to do whatever we can to support it,β he said.
The webinar featured presentations highlighting the interconnected roles of technology, education, research, and policy in building smarter systems, sustainable societies, and future-ready learners and professionals.
Topics discussed included Digital Transformation and SMART Business Innovation; The Role of AI and Data Analytics in Research Development; Natural Interaction for XR Interfaces; Integrating Sustainable Development Goals into English Language Education: Innovative Teaching Strategies; Integrating Artificial Intelligence in Education; The Role of Technology in Transforming ASEAN Education; and Innovations for the SDGs: Accelerating the 2030 Agenda through Science, Technology, and Breakthrough Policy Paradigms.
The presentations were delivered by Dr. Chaithawat Siribowonphitak of Rajabhat Maha Sarakham University, Dr. Rolaida Sonza of NEUST, Mr. Tian Yang of Guangxi University, Ms. Pham Thi Mai Anh of Nghe An University, Mr. Ninio Herera of NEUST, TS. Mime Azrina Jaafar of Politeknik Sultan Abdul Halim Muβadzam Shah, and Dr. And Julie Rosal of Pangasinan State University, respectively.
The webinar served as a platform for fostering regional collaboration and knowledge exchange among higher education institutions, reinforcing ASEAN’s commitment to innovation-driven development, digital transformation, and sustainable growth.
