Honoring decades of unwavering dedication, Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST), through the Human Resource Management Office (HRMO) and Gender and Development (GAD), recognized its retiring faculty members and personnel during the “Pagpupugay sa mga Haligi ng Pamantasan” retirement recognition program.
In her welcoming remarks, Human Resource Management Officer Ms. Jenna Kristel Illustre described the gathering as more than a celebration—it was an opportunity to recognize and honor those who devoted years of faithful service to the University.
“Ito ay araw ng pagdiriwang at pagkakataon na sila ay ating kilalanin at bigyan ng pagpupugay sa kanilang paglilingkod sa NEUST,” she said.
Ms. Ilustre emphasized that the retirees leave behind not only years of dedicated work, but also a lasting legacy and an inspiration that will continue to guide future generations of the University community.
Messages of appreciation were likewise delivered by SUC Vice President III Atty. Bembol Castillo and Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Feliciana Jacoba, who reflected on the retirees’ invaluable contributions, cherished memories, and enduring legacy in shaping NEUST.
The VPs also assured the honorees that the University will always remain their home and that they will forever be part of the NEUST family.
In her message, University President Dr. Rhodora Jugo reminded the retirees that their connection with the University does not end upon retirement.
“Kayo po ay laging welcome sa NEUST. Lagi kayong kabahagi ng lahat ng okasyon sa NEUST dahil kayo ay kabahagi ng tagumpay ng Pamantasan.”
President Jugo reflected that while retirement marks the close of a professional chapter, what truly remains are the lives they have influenced, the trust they have earned, and the hope they have instilled in colleagues, students, and the community through years of dedicated service.

Speaking on behalf of the retirees, Dr. Jocelyn Cruz shared that while they may be retiring from their respective positions, a part of them will always remain with the institution.
Dr. Cruz fondly recalled memorable moments shared by each retiree and expressed heartfelt gratitude to the University and to every individual who became part of their journey.
Capping the program, Chief Administrative Officer Ms. Myra Sandoval conveyed her gratitude to the retirees and congratulated them on reaching a well-deserved milestone—the fruit of decades of commitment, perseverance, and exemplary public service.
The ceremony served as a fitting tribute to the University’s retiring educators and personnel, whose legacy of excellence, integrity, and selfless service will continue to inspire generations of NEUSTians.
